A home, not a kennel

  • Cage-free and indoors. Dogs sleep inside, lounge on real furniture and keep their normal routine. Crates only if that's what they're used to.
  • One family at a time. Your dog never shares the house with a pack of strangers' dogs. Just Archer, our friendly Vizsla.
  • Pool and lawn time. A fully fenced turf yard for zoomies and a wide, shallow ledge for wading. Swims only with your OK, always supervised, life vests in every size.
  • Walks at Eisenhower Park. We're around the corner, with shady paths around the lake.
  • Daily photos and videos. So you can actually relax on your trip.

Is your dog a good fit?

Villa stays are best for friendly, house-trained dogs who are comfortable with new people and another dog. Every new dog does a meet-and-greet with Archer first. If your dog is a senior, anxious in new places or not a fan of other dogs, pet sitting at your home is usually the happier choice.

Vaccines required: rabies, DHPP and bordetella, plus flea and tick prevention.

Questions we get a lot

How much is dog boarding in Orange, CA?

Villa stays are $110 a night for the first dog and $55 a night for a second dog from the same family. Holidays and short-notice bookings cost a little more, and the booking form shows your exact estimate.

Is in-home boarding better than a kennel?

For most social dogs, yes. They sleep indoors, keep a home routine and get one-on-one attention instead of a shift schedule, and they aren't exposed to dozens of other dogs. Kennels can be a better fit for dogs who need medical monitoring by vet staff.

Will my dog be alone?

Rarely. Someone is home most of the day and every night. On the occasional errand, guest dogs stay safely inside and are never left alone in the backyard or near the pool.

Can my dog swim in the pool?

Only if you say yes when you book. Every swim is supervised from start to finish with a life vest available, followed by a fresh-water rinse and towel dry.

What should I pack?

Their food, any medications, a leash and collar with ID tags, and a favorite toy or blanket that smells like home. We have bowls, beds, towels and life vests.
